A Post Christmas Flight

With good weather in the Southern Indiana area this past weekend we took a quick post-Christmas flight to Columbus Municipal Airport for a hearty breakfast at Blackerby’s Hangar 5. We were joined by our daughter and future son-in-law. Side note: this was his first time flying in anything smaller than a Boeing 737. And we all know what that means; we have ONE CHANCE to win him over in a small plane. Fortunately it was a smooth flight in both directions (note from The Pilot: I greased both landings) - so I believe he'll be flying with us again.

Happy holidays.

So, we bought a plane just before the COVID 19 pandemic began here in the United States.

Great timing, right?

The silver lining; the plane has created more opportunities for us than we could have ever imagined.

We are two empty nesters with four grown children living all over the United States. Even though we each have two full time careers we are intentionally making time for travel, and for each other. We are based in Southern Indiana. Although much of our travel is to the cities where our children live we also make time for other trips as able.

This blog is a way for us to share our travels and to also archive our journeys; at last.
