CRW to DKX

Charleston, WV, to Knoxville, TN.

It was a pleasure last weekend to fly Poppy from Charleston to her forever home in Knoxville. We always take precautions when transporting animals as part of Pilots N Paws by receiving important information from the "sender" of the animal. In this case, Poppy's foster family let us know that she was a flight risk and would need to stay crated for the flight. Not a problem - she was a great little passenger! Poppy's new family were thrilled to meet her on the receiving end!

So, we bought a plane just before the COVID 19 pandemic began here in the United States.

Great timing, right?

The silver lining; the plane has created more opportunities for us than we could have ever imagined.

We are two empty nesters with four grown children living all over the United States. Even though we each have two full time careers we are intentionally making time for travel, and for each other. We are based in Southern Indiana. Although much of our travel is to the cities where our children live we also make time for other trips as able.

This blog is a way for us to share our travels and to also archive our journeys; at last.
